Aves of the World

By living up in the mountains in proximity to the sea, I am able to see and photograph many different bird species. In addition to this, my good friend Guy warren also has a keen eye for bird spotting and photography and has produced some spectacular photos. Because of this I feel it necessary to have an entire page dedicated to ave photography.

The species photographed:

Cygnus olor - Mute swan                          Ardea cinerea - Grey heron

Tadorna tadorna - Shelduck                      Cyanistes caeruleus - Eurasian blue tit

Haematopus ostralegus - Oystercatcher   Alcedo atthis - Common Kingfisher

Butorides striata - Straited heron             Recurvirostra spp. - Avocets

Podiceps cristatus - Great crested Grebe  Pelecanus  - Pelicans

Pluvialis squatarola - Grey Plover
